| Brief Details: | Meeting of Staff Development & Quality Managers from Learning Providers in the Northern Region. |
| Information: | A forum to discuss staff development and quality issues around teaching and learning. There will be 2 showcase presentations followed by usual agenda items: (1) a session on EduApps - an initiative developed by one of the Scottish RSCs and consists of four different collections of incredibly useful software: * AccessApps provides a range of solutions to support writing, reading and planning, as well as sensory, cognitive and physical difficulties. * TeachApps is a collection of software specifically designed for teachers or lecturers. * LearnApps, as its name implies, is specifically designed for learners. All learners or students can benefit from LearnApps. * MyStudyBar is our new kid on the block, providing a suite of apps to support literacy. (2) Creating Digital Evidence - a couple of our team will show you what is available to record digital evidence using voice recorders, digital cameras and digital video cameras. Presenting evidence in its best light and help both the internal verifier and external verifier to go straight to the key pieces of evidence. Paul Cook, LSIS Regional Development Manager will also be present to brief the group on his role in the region. |
